I actually remember that talk, but when you're a teen who dropped out of school, with very little life experience, it sounds very authoritative. And when you see tons of adult people clapping like crazy, you say to yourself, surely all these adult people can't be wrong. We as kids depended on adult people to help us navigate our way through life. Little did I realized I was in a group of idiotic adults.
That same thing goes with young jws today, they trust their deceived JW adults.
i used to talk weekly on skype, with a sister from another country.
i didn't tell her much about my research and change of beliefs, until today ... in the conversations some doctrines came up and i told her i don't believe 1914, first, then i went on to tell her that i also don't believe there are 2 classes of christians, that i did not believe the government of the kingdom will be in heaven while the kingdom en earth, that i believe the whole kingdom will be on earth, and that from what i read, jesus was pretty clear that he will come back to earth, visibly.
the "god always had an organization" dogma was dropped and i told her it is not true, out of 9000 years of human history, it's not sure there were 1000 years when god had a loyal organization ..... i did not plan to tell her all this things, but it just happened, and things came up in the conversation... and once i dropped one bomb i dropped them all .... she said i do not sound like i am one of the jehovah's witnesses any more ... and even though we ended the call with "see ya" i have the feeling i will not hear from her any more ... .

Hey doc, I' m been thinking of going to law school and jumping in on all the lawsuits against the WT.
I've heard once you are 65 you either get 60% cut of tuition fees or in some schools you can go free to law school.
I would be a good lawyer against the WT because I know all their policies since late 60s. All it would take is win one case 2million. I get 40% of that--ha--nice retirement nest egg. What if I win 4 or 5 cases. Holy mackerel, now we're talking big bucks$$$$

BUT.................if the sinner is already an elder and 3 years (+/-) has passed, THEN it is OK to cover over the sin, as he does not need to be removed but can continue serving.

so i posted earlier in the year that one of my son's friends is a jw.
he can never do anything on wednesdays because it's a meeting night.
same for sunday early afternoons.
I have a friend who was an elder and I shared a little bit of ttatt with him sometime back. I found out he stepped down from being an elder and is letting all his kids join all the sports. He still believes "Some of it" is the truth, like the paradise earth, but now feels "Most of it" is baloney.
So it depends on the individual. Is he a 98% jw or a 19% jw. Big difference on what you "WILL" do or not do.
